Empowering families impacted by autism to dream bigger,

MY JOURNEY

Born and raised in Mexico City—one of my favorite cities in the world! My extended family still lives there, surrounded by history, archeology, culture, architecture, and of course, incredible food. My school bus passed in front of a small pyramid every single day. I took that proximity to ancient cultures for granted until my family moved to the United States, but even then, my dream was to visit Japan one day.

As a young adult, I was blessed to spend about a year and a half living in Japan as a missionary, immersing myself in the Japanese language and its beautiful culture.

Living in three countries taught me the art of bridging differences—learning to see the world through multiple cultural lenses. Those experiences shape everything I do today as a travel specialist for neurodivergent families.

For over two decades, my family traveled extensively. Now that my children are adults, I'm grateful for every journey we took together. Through all our travels around the world, we were gathering memories that have become our greatest treasures.

I've walked the autism parenting journey personally, and I understand the stress and worry that comes with large gatherings, parties, outings, trips—and even life at home. But I also know the incredible joy when a carefully-planned journey succeeds, and your family discovers that the world is a wonderful place to explore.

Now that my kids are grown, I value our times together even more because I see them less often, but the memories, the experiences, the laughs and the pictures, are such a beautiful treasure now. I hope that as our family continues to grow we will continue visiting incredible places here in the US and all over the world.

This is what I bring to your family: A way to dream bigger, explore the world, and discover what's possible—with me as your travel designer helping you every step of the way.

I became a certified travel specialist because I believe every family deserves to explore this beautiful world without fear, without judgment, and with someone in their corner who truly gets it. I design the trips I wish I'd had access to years ago—and now, I help other families discover what's possible.

AUTISM-CERTIFIED & PERSONALLY INVESTED

I don't just plan trips—I design experiences backed by specialized training and lived understanding.

My Certifications:

🎓 Autism Double-Checked (ADC) Certified

Advanced training in autism awareness, sensory accommodations, and accessibility planning for travel professionals.

🎓 Autism on the Seas Certified

Specialized certification for creating autism-friendly cruise experiences, cabin selection, and onboard advocacy.

🎓 IBCCES Certified Autism Travel Professional

The industry's gold standard for autism and sensory-friendly travel design, covering everything from pre-trip preparation to crisis management.

🎓 SNG Certified Accessible Travel Advocate®

Travel Professionals who understand the scope and importance of the accessible travel/special needs market.

But here's what the certifications can't teach:

Lived experience. Personal advocacy. Meaningful memories.

I design trips I'd want for my own family—because I know what's at stake.

HOW I WORK DIFFERENTLY

I don't believe in "autism-proof" vacations—I believe in autism-ready ones.

Every family is beautifully unique. Every sensory profile is different. Every dream destination is valid. My job isn't to eliminate all challenges (that's impossible), but to:

→ Prepare for them

Detailed planning that accounts for sensory needs, communication styles, and family dynamics

→ Design for your specific needs

Backup plans, and realistic expectations

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

When you work with me, you're not just hiring a travel agent—you're gaining a partner who:

Listens without judgment to your concerns, fears, and dreams

✓ Advocates fiercely for accommodations and understanding

Plans proactively with backup plans built into every itinerary

Communicates clearly with realistic expectations and honest guidance

Celebrates your victories because I know how hard-won they are

Protects your privacy with complete confidentiality and respect

I'm not here to convince you to travel.

I'm here to make it possible when you're ready.

FROM PERSONAL MISSION TO GLOBAL MOVEMENT

Gathering Memories Travel officially opened in October 2025, but the truth is, I've been having fun helping family and friends with their travel experiences long before that.

This is more than a business for me—it's the foundation for a legacy.

My Vision: Building Something Bigger

My goal is to build a non-profit from the proceeds of Gathering Memories Travel—a non-profit with one single, critical mission: to serve young adults with autism aged 18-30 because after high school, most programs disappear and "the cliff" appears. This is the age when the safety net frays. When families ask, "What happens next?"

If your child is younger than 18, this work is FOR them. We're building the infrastructure now so it's ready when they need it.

That's why I started Gathering Memories Travel—a full-service travel agency designed for families who need more than just a booking.

Families who need:

Sensory-aware planning (because not every hotel room will work)

Expert advocacy (because you shouldn't have to fight for accommodations alone)

Confidence and support (because you deserve to travel without fear)

You're Part of Something Transformative

So when you subscribe to The Autism Passport newsletter, when you share a post, or when you choose to plan a trip with me—know that you're doing more than gathering memories for your own family.

You're helping build a future for the next generation.

You're part of something bigger.

You're part of a movement.

This is my big WHY, and I invite you to be part of it!

SPEAKING, ADVOCACY & LEADERSHIP

My work extends beyond individual trip planning into industry education and community empowerment.

Speaking & Training: ,I provide education and advocacy training on topics including:

• Disability awareness and inclusion for faith communities

• Resources and accommodations for church congregations serving families with disabilities

• Leadership training for disability ministry teams

Community Involvement:

LET'S CREATE YOUR FAMILY'S NEXT ADVENTURE

Whether you're planning your first family trip or your fiftieth, whether autism is new to your family or you've been navigating it for decades—you deserve travel that works for YOU.

I'd be honored to help you design an experience where you can explore and make memories that last.
